week 8: ZOOM OUT

This third picture is called I AMSTERDAM, it's an 'official' map that represents the 'official' parts of my city.

homework 53: A BOX WITH OBJECTS FROM MY CITY

I collected some of the countless possibilities, challenges, ideas, sightseeings, .... Amsterdam offers to help you make it through the day(s) and night(s). I concentrated on the city-centre in general and my part of the city in specific.

Here are cards that can be put into my citybox right away and some more ...

The picture on the left shows these items inside my still opened box and a lot of other leaflets, brochures, papers, ... that first need to be folded, cut, ... so that they fit in the box;

The picture on the right shows the now closed box on the same background. But now it is plainly visible that my box has a nice glass window that enables me to highlight an important event/person/activity/...

And dear Vincent van Gogh is important! Always! At present we have the exhibition 'Vincent and his work' running in his own museum (the van Gogh museum that was donated to my city by his family).

homework 54: PINHOLE CAMERA

After struggling with (making a) pinhole camera and my health (pneumonia), I decided to opt for 'Photoshop-pinholing' 4 'normal' digital pictures.The 4 pictures all are taken within a distance of at most 5 minutes of my appartment block, in the directions south, west, north and east.At the bottom of the pictures I put a short description (in my native language Dutch), in a very simple font.
